The Stellar Issue

If you know her, you already know: Licia Troisi is not just the main Italian face of fantasy internationally. She also has a degree in Physics and went on to complete a doctorate in Astrophysics. She is also a friend of Comics&Science, so it had to happen sooner or later. And it did happen with a story where everything is stellar, starting with the plot: it has to do with the life cycle of a planet in danger, a monstrous threat from space, a superheroine rushing to defend her people… what more could you want?
And then the cast: in addition to Licia on the nucleus of the story, we have superstar Carmine Di Giandomenico on storyboards, indie star Alessandro Micelli on the pencil, and a supernova of a colourist Leonardo Colapietro.
What more could you want? A story about the life cycle of stars? Done. But to understand the how and why you will have to read it.
Along with important names in research such as Donato Bini of CNR-IAC and Luciano Rezzolla of the Institute for Theoretical Physics at Frankfurt’s Goethe University, who explain what happens when one of the most cataclysmic events imaginable in nature occurs: the collision of two black holes.
